The Ironman Gravity 1000 Inversion Table by Paradigm Fitness is the base model in their ‘Ironman’ series of inversion tables.  Because of this, you would not expect to find many of the extra’s that you would find on more expensive tables.  At the same time, it doesn’t have a large price tag either.

Inverting

gravity inversionWe found the Ironman Gravity 1000 very easy to use.  Again, it’s a basic model but it does function as you would expect.  What you get is a piece of equipment with smooth inversion and the ability to pre-set 3 different inversion angles.  No tricks and no gimmicks.

All you do is lay yourself against the nylon back rest and slip your feet into the cushioned ankle supports.  Lock the ankle supports in place and then raise or slide your arms above your head.  The table should then gradually invert up to 90 degrees.

The extra-long vinyl covered rails help as you manoeuvre into your preferred position.

All you do to return to the sit up position is use the extra-long handles to help pull you up.  The Ironman inversion table can also be used to perform inverted ab exercises.

  • A basic table that offers good value for money

Cons

  • The ankle locks are not particularly comfortable

Factors to Consider

ironman gravity inversion tableOne thing to be aware of is that the table will not lock in the full inversion position.  This means that you cannot do inverted core workouts.

There are not many features on the Ironman Gravity 1000 inversion table.  However, it has just what you need for decompression therapy, which is the most common use for inversion tables in relieving back pain.

Customer Reviews

As you can see, the Gravity 1000 is a basic inversion table, and for us, this didn’t really matter as long as you don’t need any of the additional features you would normally get with a more expensive model.

The bottom line is – if you are looking for a basic inversion table without bells and whistles, don’t need an easy to reach ankle system and don’t need or want to perform inverted workouts, then the Ironman Gravity 1000 inversion table is a very good buy at under $150.
